We are excited to announce that our film Life Growing Up made for UK children’s HIV charity CHIVA, has been selected for the 2019 Global Health Film Festival. It will take place on Friday 06 and Saturday 07 December, in Bloomsbury, central London, bringing together 500 health advocates, filmmakers, journalists and the public for discussion and debate in all areas of global health.
I have been working for many months on this very moving short film Life Growing Up and it launches today for World AIDS Day 2018 . Based on the true stories of young people in the UK born with HIV and developed from a live spoken word/ storytelling performance, it was commissioned by the Children’s HIV Association, CHIVA.

Filming Life Growing Up; true stories from young people growing up with HIV in the UK. Working with the super talented director Simon Baker, alongside producer Tamsin Herbert and their amazing team to create a film from the live performance. Our wonderful actors Alistair Nwachukwu, James Jack Ryan and Maia Watkins gave brilliant performances….. The film will be previewed at the International Conference in Amsterdam AIDS20018 next week, and officially launched in the UK on December 1st World AIDS day. It will be freely available on YouTube as a resource.

A unique film/storytelling project in collaboration with Dr Sandy McBride (consultant dermatologist at the Royal Free London Hospital). We launched the film on you tube to coincide with National Psoriasis Week in the UK. It is designed to educate and bring awareness.
I interviewed 20 people with Psoriasis and from the transcripts Danny Scheinmann and I created a spoken word piece which we perform with music from Neyire Ashworth and Simon Edwards. The film is directed by Simon Baker. The stories are true, and many of the words are verbatim.
So excited to be filming our story about Psoriasis “The Skin I’m In”. Rising to the challenge of translating the live storytelling piece onto film, with a fantastic creative team. Its a real pleasure to work with director Simon Baker, producer Fenella Mcguire, and musicians Neyire Ashworth and Simon Edwards and of course the wonderful Danny Scheinmann.

Delighted to be involved in this great project. Directed by Paul Gowers of Wilder Productions we had a real laugh! Our film Sexy Tuesdays won Best Film and the Audience Award.
